Personal: When travel bloggers go on vacation

Traveling by train through Morocco and Andalusia, exploring the area with locals, markets and cafes - I'm looking forward to my next trip in October! Although I am traveling with a friendly travel blogger, it should be more time out than work. I'll tell you about our itinerary and my next three destinations that are already fixed.

My dream summer with many trips

In my monthly newsletter, I regularly give a look behind the scenes. Here rather irregular, the last time is already too long ago.

The summer was again high season for my travel blog. Carsten always compares my job with that of an ice cream seller. He has to do the most in the warm months.

But I can not complain, it was great cooperation and travel destinations:

City trip Aalborg (Denmark) : fjords , vikings and singing trees
Harz Attractions : fun, culture indulgence
Atlantic Coast France : Beautiful places for active holidays, beach camping by the sea
Houseboat holidays in Alsace, with dog
Sweden Vacation : Dreamlike Skane in southern Sweden - that's the picture above

My other new articles include:

City trip Europe : 12 tips for fantastic city breaks
Dog holiday : The 15 most beautiful destinations with dog, betrayed by travel bloggers
Everyday work of a travel blogger : A look behind the scenes

Next trip: On the train through Morocco and Andalusia

After the summer months I can now take it easy. And I do that by taking the train through Morocco and Andalusia.

At the beginning of October I meet Katharina ( So near and so far ) in Casablanca and travel with her to Tangier . For both cities we have booked private tours with locals.

We will show you the most beautiful sights, markets, cafes, restaurants and street art spots. So far I've been to Marrakech and I'm looking forward to the new impressions!

In Andalusia I know so far Malaga and Cordoba . I really liked both. That's why I'm looking forward to Cadiz and Sevilla .

If you still have tips - always with it!

It is a self-paid and organized journey . Like my other trips:

  • Thailand and Singapore in January
  • Greece in April

What will land from the October trip in my Instagram stories ? A lot! Because I love you. Also in the feed I will post something. Otherwise, I'll see how much later on the blog .

Because above all, I would like to go on vacation: to sleep long, have breakfast extensively and only experience beautiful things.

What else is new with me?

That was a personal contribution from me, from December 2018: becoming a vegetarian and refraining from sugar .

I'm curious to see what it looks like on the next trips with the offer of vegetarian food . So far I have done it without exception .

Unfortunately, I did not hold sugar free. But it does not have to be, I decided. Less is good!

At Fika coffee time in Sweden, the Portuguese custard paste Pasteis de Nata or the Moroccan pastries, I just can not say "no".

And right now I'm trying different vegan sweets .

I made it to yoga a few times, in our really nice studio in Mönchengladbach. Yeah! And I went to Thai massage , I love spa treatments.

Otherwise, I have moved a lot when walking with Buddy . Partly with other dog owners , with whom I have become friends.

Thanks to Buddy I became weatherproof. I am always too warm now rather than too cold - that used to be different.

Now I walk along the beach in winter (the picture is from Kolberg in Poland ) or when it rains through the forest. No problem thanks to weatherproof jacket and shoes.

Several nice travel blogger colleagues I have seen at several meetings. And on the phone with colleagues in Austria or Paris.

Always exciting to hear from the experiences of others !

And I'm happy about a change from my home office . Even if it is - even now in the fall - still so beautiful with a dog.

We were at a US car meeting , we bought a GMC Vandura .

At the Van still a lot must be made, z. As the conversion to gas. But it was nice to have a look at roadworthy vans. That inspires!

In November we finally go to a sixties party again . I am looking forward to! The clothes hung too long unused in the closet.

And I was glad to come to the cinema again. Before June 2018 (before Buddy) we often left. Now I have seen "Once upon a time ... in Hollywood" alone and was happy about the popcorn. While Carsten stayed with Buddy.

Now in autumn I would like to visit a pumpkin yard . I have already eaten the first dominoes. And when is time for mulled wine?

I've enjoyed using Twitter for a long time. But in my timeline, the sound became increasingly rough, as well as on Facebook. On Instagram is just more Velcro.

I also like Pinterest because I can share my articles there and collect travel ideas.

To save my nerves, I've put my Twitter account on hold .

I would like to follow my next trips via Instagram .

    Hello Anja,
I traveled with you through Casablanca and Tangier and through Andalucia last week and have reminisced. You really have a beautiful blog here and it's always fun to accompany you. We do not know Casablanca and Tangier, but some years ago we traveled by car from Morocco (from Agadir to Marrakech, via the Atlas to Ait-Ben-Haddou and Quarzazate, Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Zagora, Tata, Tafraoute to Sidi Ifni and back to Agadir). It was wonderful. In Marrakech we were now 4x. Andalusia, I have with my husband last year - also with the car - rummaged. We landed in Malaga (which unfortunately we did not visit, although it is also very nice), from there to Ronda, from Ronda to Cádiz, Sevilla, Granada and back. We were so excited that we plan Cordoba next fall 2020. This year nothing came because we just got back from Thailand (after 30 years the first time Thailand again ... we were slightly shocked).
So we are also a fun-loving family and I'm always happy to browse your site :-) Keep it up!
    LG from Heike
